Dinner where you like to go.
I could wear the cologne
That you like me in.
Wear an old shirt from you
From my “fuck you” bin.
I could look at old pictures
Remember our trips
And stalk your Facebook
Remembering back then with a smile, How you look.
Using time to turn from red to rose colored glasses.
Your loving touch, your coy glances.
Only the good in your fire,
The way you did things in your own way, your own fashion.
But then, as I comb the annals of my brain
Then reminds me of why we are through.
And each new face
Can temporarily replace
Of the haunting poison that is
